As an oil painter, I strive to capture realistic interpretations of the transient beauty of light on canvas. I draw inspiration from people, the natural world, and daily experiences.  Art has always been a way to escape for me ever since I was a little girl, today painting is my chosen medium. The way light casts its brightness and the resulting cast shadows on an object from flowers to everyday objects is so captivating to me that I want to portray this with paint. I use layers of glazes and oil paint to create rich tones with bright highlights and dark values as my way of expression. I strive to merge the traditional methods of oil painting with a modern palette.
